ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS

ELA CONCEPT LEARNING BRICKS

Picture
Concept Learning Bricks are foundational vocabulary terms and concepts, designed for multi-sensory learners, that students need to master before they can apply the actual concepts to other areas.  Each Concept Learning Brick is organized with a question, answer, physical gesture movement, concept examples, and picture to represent the academic term. The image on the card, associated memory gesture, and vocabulary definition allow students to see, hear, say, and do so much more with these crucial terms in a way that is fun and engaging. Over 150 concepts are available!

FLASH FLUENCY 10-10-10

Picture
Flash Fluency 10-10-10 helps students receive plenty of opportunity to practice the most frequently used "no excuse" words and grade appropriate academic vocabulary in a format that is fun and motivating. It is comprised of four levels, (Tide Pool, Low Tide, High Tide, and Tidal Wave), while maintaining consistency with how students progress through the Tests in each of the levels.  There are tests and powerpoint reviews for each of the four levels.

COMPREHENSION SHUFFLE

Picture
Comprehension Shuffle allows kids to use their own awareness and know-how to create logical interpretations as they read whole group, small group, with a partner, or individually. The comprehension cards give the students a random comprehension skill to perform while reading.  Since there are multiple comprehension skills and multiple cards of those skills, Comprehension Shuffle is a fun way to give our students a purpose and to be active as they read.  20 different comprehension techniques are represented in this download.
